Orders

This article will explain how to work with orders within Ellity. When are points credited, what happens when an order is cancelled, etc.

When are points awarded?

Points are credited to the customer as soon as the order is marked as paid. In the Shoptet system, go to the order and mark it as paid. Shoptet also allows you to set the order to be marked as paid automatically when it reaches a certain state.

Add or change order items

If the order does not include withdrawal from the account, it is possible to change the order based on your processing process. If you edit the order items, after saving, the points the customer earned for this purchase will be recalculated.

If the order contains withdrawals from the account and you make a change to the items, then the discount taken cannot be recalculated and the customer would therefore draw the wrong discount. In this case, we recommend two options:

  • create a new order for new items
  • cancel the current order and create it again with new items.

If the customer is registered, you can also create an order for him. In Shoptet, you just need to log in as a customer directly from the administration portal of your e-shop.

What happens to the points if the order is cancelled?

Any points the customer has earned by paying for the order will be deducted from the account after the order is cancelled.

If points were drawn by the customer on the order, the points will be returned to the customer's account.

Can I cancel a draw on an order?

Yes, it is enough to remove the discount coupon that is related to the withdrawal on the order. Points drawn will be returned to the customer's account.

Since the total amount of the order will change, the points earned for this order will be recalculated at the same time.

Can the discount coupons generated by the system be distinguished?

If you use discount coupons separately on your e-shop, it is not clear from the order at first glance whether it is a bonus system draw or a regular discount coupon.

But this also has a solution. If you are creating a discount coupon for your customers, choose a prefix in its code (e.g. KUPxxxx). Then you will immediately know on the order whether it is a withdrawal from the customer's bonus account or a regular coupon. A discount coupon cannot be combined with a withdrawal, so the order cannot contain a withdrawal and a discount coupon at the same time.

If you need to know the orders that have been drawn, let our support know, we have another solution, where we generate information for you in a note, which you will see in the Shoptet backoffice.
